Days out at Ness Gardens

With 64 acres of beautiful landscaped and natural countryside Ness gardens has room to relax in peaceful tranquility and play in the wide open spaces, making it the perfect day out for all the family.

The Gardens feature many beautiful and interesting plants with something for everyone from the armchair gardener to the avid plant hunter, and there are lots of interesting features such as the grass labyrinth, Woodhenge, Super Steggy, for children of all ages to discover.

We also have rescued chickens, a play area with a brilliant climbing frame. And we also run regular half term and summer activities to keep the little (and not so little) ones entertained during the school holidays, its always great fun and even a little bit educational.

Our Family Memberships are great value for bringing the family the whole year round.

 Coming up

  • April 2015 Easter Trail, crafts and gardening activities
  • May 2015 Wildlife Week - activities inside and outside
  • July 2015 - Children's Fun Day - a bonanza of activities in the garden. Well worth becoming Family Members for!

Add to that the excellent food and drink served in the Garden Kitchen restuarant, our attractive Gift Shop stocked with many interesting, entertaining, stylish and delicious delights and pocket money gifts for kids, and the many exhibitions that take place in our Visitor Centre (with free wi-fi).  However on warm sunny days we recommend taking lunch outside on the picnic benches or lawns (either pack a picnic to bring along or treat yourselves to a Garden Kitchen created take out).
