Days out at Ness Gardens

With 64 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and natural countryside Ness Botanic Gardens has room to relax in peaceful tranquility and play in the wide open spaces, making it the perfect day out for all the family. 

Lots of parking, easy paths for travelling round with buggies or wheelchairs, a cafe for that all needed cuppa, meal, snack or ice-cream, a spacious shop for trinkets and quality goods. 



Join with a Family Memberships to bring the family back every season. Members have access to the Gardens from 10 am to dusk.

Open all year round apart from a few closed days over the Winter.

Follow the Reindeer Trail trail through a fairy-like rock garden to Santa's beautiful  grotto.

Your family will have fond memories of stepping into a magical world. Plenty of fantastic vistas for photo opportunities. Garden admission and small charge for trail, Santa gives a present.

Add to that the excellent food and drink served in the Garden Kitchen restuarant, our attractive Gift Shop stocked with many interesting, entertaining, stylish and delicious delights and pocket money gifts for kids, and the many exhibitions that take place in our Visitor Centre (with free wi-fi).  However on warm sunny days we recommend taking lunch outside on the picnic benches or lawns (either pack a picnic to bring along or treat yourselves to a Garden Kitchen created take out).

Located on the border of Wirral, Cheshire and Flintshire Ness gardens is within easy reach of Liverpool, Chester, Manchester and all areas of the North West, North Wales, Staffordshire for the perfect family day out.  And if that's not enough we are also close to the Dee estuary marshes, ParkGate, Port Sunlight, Space Port, Chester Zoo, the Blue PLanet Aquarium, Cheshire Oaks outlet village, Burton Wetlands RSPB Centre and many other visitor attractions suitable for family days out.
