Ness wins Award

The University's Ness Botanic Gardens have been awarded the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence 2015. Now in its 5th year, the award recognises accommodations, eateries and attractions across the world that consistently earn great TripAdvisor reviews from travellers.

To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.

Kevin Reid, Director of the Gardens, said "We are delighted to receive this recognition for Ness and our dedicated staff and small army of volunteers who support this wonderful garden and provide such a warm welcome to our many visitors".

The winning of the award means both of the University of Liverpool main visitor attractions, Ness and the Victoria Gallery & Museum, now hold the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

The Victoria Gallery & Museum at the heart of the University campus in Liverpool houses an incredible collection of curiosities from the 120-year history of the University from world's most important display of false teeth to collections of fine art.

Enter the Victoria Gallery & Museum for the first time and you'll find a collection of art and curiosities so varied and exciting you'll wonder why you've never noticed us before amongst all the Liverpool museums. Witness nightmares in a bottle, a Victorian dental surgery, a fine art collection and an archaeological dig. We told you it was varied. - See more at:

Matthew Clough, Director of the Victoria Gallery & Museum, said "It is a great seal of approval to be recognised by our visitors and I'd like to thank all of our past guests who took the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor."
