Winning Photographs announced

Selected from over 300 images, we are delighted to announce the winners of this year's Photography Competition.  The annual competition invites all our visitors to share their best images of the Gardens with us all.

We have chosen Luke Neale as this year's Photographer of Year for his brilliant picture - Snowdrops! Luke's brilliant image also won the social media category. Congratulations to our category winners:

  •     Children's Photographer (10 & under) - Tulips by Oliver Wilkinson
  •     Young Photographer (11-16 years) - As silent as the shadows by Raabiya Mirali  
  •     Plants (adult) Joint winners -  Reflection by Ann Scott & Tulip Dordogne by Alan Jones
  •     Landscape (adult)- Trees take on their summer colour by Heather Lindsay   
  •     Wildlife (adult) - Backward glance by Tony Crew
  •     Abstract (adult) - Halo halo by Mark Reeves     

Luke and the winners of our two children's category each win 1-2-1 photography workshop with professional photographer Michael Turner and free entry to the Gardens for a year courtesy of the Friends of Ness Gardens.

All the category winners also receive free membership to the Friends of Ness Gardens allowing free entry to the Gardens for the year.

The winners & all the shortlisted entries are on display in the Visitor Centre at Ness until Sunday 29 April, pop in and see them.

This year's competition is open to enter until Friday 21 December 2018. More details can be found here.
