Volunteering at Ness Gardens
Please note: Wednesday, 27th March - due to the heavy
snow conditions the Gardens are CLOSED today so Garden Volunteers
will not be required today, however, the Visitor Centre is OPEN as
normal.

If you love plants, gardens and meeting people, come and join
us.
We depend on volunteers to help support our gardens and even if
you don't like gardening there is always something to do.
We currently have over 200 volunteers of all ages and
backgrounds from students to retired people. The roles are
varied including...
- Meet & Greet
- Manning Admissions point
- Serving in Gift Shop and Plant Sales areas
- General Gardening
- Representing the Gardens at shows and other public places
- Guided tours for both adult and school parties
- Herbarium duties
- Plant label production
- Inputting plant data for curatorial purposes
- Input of visitor data for statistical information
- Collecting, cleaning and packing seed for sale
- Assisting at on-site events
- Bench cleaning and painting

We will give you a cup of tea/coffee and a wholesome biscuit in
return for your help!
You will be entitled to 20% discount on all items in Plant
Sales, Shop and even a discount in the Garden Kitchen.
Once you have completed 50 hours you will be able to bring a
friend into the gardens for FREE whenever you like.
Please bring a passport size photo to your introductory
interview.
