Are you new to gardening, don't
where to start or just wanting to refresh your knowledge?
This introductory course acts as a comprehensive guide covering all
the basics of gardening.
Suitable for: 18+. There are no
formal entry requirements; all you need is an interest in plants
The course starts on Thursday
18th September (6.30-9pm) 10 weekly sessions (with the
exception of autumn half term: Thursday 30 Oct)
The course is taught through talks;
demonstrations and a range of activities both in the classroom and
out in the gardens (weather permitting). Please come dressed
in suitable clothing for the weather (i.e. waterproof jackets and
wear suitable shoes). Also bring pen and paper.

understanding their names.
Week 2 - Understanding your garden environment
Week 3 - Soil, composts and mulches
Week 4 - Choosing plants
Week 5 - Planting and aftercare
Week 6 - Pruning
Week 7 - Plant Health
Week 8 - Propagation
Week 9 - Lawns
Week 10 - Containers & Hanging baskets
