Led by award winning artist Josie Jenkins, this 10 week
drawing course will give you the opportunity to improve your
observational drawing skills and try new ways of working, guided
with exercises designed for all abilities.
This course starts on Monday 3rd October
6-8pm 10 weekly sessions.
This course is designed for anyone who enjoys drawing. If
you are a beginner, the course will lead you through the basic
principles of drawing, by instruction and experimentation and for
those who already have experience of drawing, the exercises will
ask you to reconsider the basics and challenge you to try to work
in different ways. A mixture of still life and the garden
landscape will be used to provide a great variety of subject
Each week the session will focus on a different drawing
principle or idea for you to consider, giving you both direction
and freedom to experiment. Throughout the course you will be
encouraged to try using different materials and scales and to
develop your own ideas and knowledge about drawing, through
discussion and by examining the work of other artists.
You will need to provide your own materials - a full list will
be provided at time of booking.
Who is it suitable for?
18+. There are no formal entry requirements and no previous
experience is needed
