Drawing at Ness Gardens

03 October 2016 18:00 - 03 October 2016 20:00

Led by award winning artist Josie Jenkins, this 10 week drawing course will give you the opportunity to improve your observational drawing skills and try new ways of working, guided with exercises designed for all abilities.

This course starts on Monday 3rd October 6-8pm 10 weekly sessions.

Course Outline

This course is designed for anyone who enjoys drawing.  If you are a beginner, the course will lead you through the basic principles of drawing, by instruction and experimentation and for those who already have experience of drawing, the exercises will ask you to reconsider the basics and challenge you to try to work in different ways.  A mixture of still life and the garden landscape will be used to provide a great variety of subject matter.

Each week the session will focus on a different drawing principle or idea for you to consider, giving you both direction and freedom to experiment.  Throughout the course you will be encouraged to try using different materials and scales and to develop your own ideas and knowledge about drawing, through discussion and by examining the work of other artists.

You will need to provide your own materials - a full list will be provided at time of booking.
