Earth Science Family Fair

Dinosaurs, violent vocanoes, remarkable rocks and more. For children aged 5 - 12 years lots of hands-on activities and crafts about the 'Earth in Action'. Meet our fantastic scientists from the University of Liverpool. They all want to help you find out more about our fascinating Earth. All activities are free, the majority will be taking place in the Visitor Centre, but some will run in the garden including a self-guided rock trail.

Drop-in and explore lots of hands-on science activities for all the family including:

  • Investigating volcanoes
  • Identifying rocks
  • Learning how to protect our coastline
  • Discover how big the dinosaurs were 
  • Make a pet rock to take home
  • And many more!


Who is it suitable for?

Suitable for 5-12 year olds (children must be supervised).

What does it cost?

Free with your normal garden admission.

How do I book a place or find out more?

No just turn up on the day.
