Family Science Fair

For the third year running we are proud to be hosting this free family event. It always inspires young people about science, technology, engineering and maths.

Lots of hands-on activities and demonstrations. Brought to you by experts from the University of Liverpool and other organisations as part of British Science Week.

  • 3D Printing and bridge construction with Engineering 4 All.
  • Protecting coastlines with the School of Environmental Sciences.
  • Aquaponics with the team from Farm Urban.
  • Make your own toad abodes with Chester Zoo.
  • Mosquito Madness with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine
  • Creatures from Rock Pools with Earth, Ocean and Ecological Sciences.
  • Craft activities with the Ness Schools Education team.
  • Buzz about Bees with Institute of Integrative Biology.
  • Tornado in a bottle with North West branch of the British Science Association.
  • Maths Roadshow with Department of Mathematical Sciences.
  • Fascinating plants with Dr. Hugh McAllister.
  • It's not all Grass with Dr. Raj Whitlock.

In addition there is free enrty to garden for all teachers to discover our schools programme.

Families -  children aged 4-14 yrs                      

What does it cost?

All activities are free (normal garden admission applies).

Free Garden entry for teachers.

Do I need to book a place?

No - just turn up.
