Gardening for Wildlife

Saturday 26 May 2018 11:00 - Saturday 26 May 2018 12:30

Leading UK environmentalist, a Vice President of the Wildlife Trusts and award winning writer and broadcaster, Chris Baines will talk about the importance of gardens for wildlife.

He will share his lifetime's experience of the practical ways in which ordinary gardens can be made more wildlife friendly, discuss suitable plants for pollinators and the many in which nesting boxes, bird feeders, ponds and many other features can turn your garden, courtyard or balcony into a safe haven for local wildlife. He will also show the ways in which gardens are contributing to conservation across the wider landscape.

Chris will also be selling signed copies of his best-selling book "The RHS Companion to Wildlife Gardening". There will also be a raffle in support of Cheshire Wildlife Trust.

Ticket holders gain discounted entry price to the gardens at £4 on the day of the talk.
