Minimizing without compromising

Sunday 19 November 2017 14:30 - Sunday 19 November 2017 16:00

There are many different choices when creating a garden.  You will instantly have ideas about which plants you want to grow and the site will have an influence but do you have just herbaceous plants, just shrubs, or a mixture?

In September 2016 Timothy Walker gave a lecture at Ness looking at the making of a garden he and his  wife's created in Oxford whilst he was director of Oxford Botanic Garden. This lecture will describe creating a garden at their new home on a much smaller plot......downsizing!

About the speaker: Timothy Walker is the retired Director of the Oxford Botanic Garden and Harcourt Arboretum. Whilst he was Hortus Praefectus, Oxford Botanic Garden won 4 gold, 2 silver-gilt and one silver medal at the Chelsea Flower Show. Since 1992 he lectures on the Biological Sciences degree programme at the University of Oxford.
