Planning for the future: managing and developing the gardens at Ness’

What happens next with the 'Chris Beardshaw Garden'? 'Where are the newts? Which bits of the garden are listed on Historic England's Garden Register? Discover what the plans are for Ness.

Nick Lightfoot will explain all in this talk about the creation of a management and development plan for Ness. The first version of this plan was published in April 2017, written by Nick with input from staff, volunteers and former garden managers.

The plan is split into several sections ranging from the historical development of Ness through to future plans. The aim is provide a reference point and framework to make informed decisions about how to develop the Garden for the future.

About the speaker: Nick Lightfoot is the Garden & Collections Manager at Ness Botanic Gardens, responsible for the maintenance and development of the gardens.
