Plants and How to Look After Them

Regardless of the size or style of your garden the key to a good, low maintenance garden (and a happy gardener) is knowing a little bit about how plants work, and the best ways to look after them.

This is a one day course on Saturday 17 March (10-4pm), held at the University's main campus in Liverpool.

Join horticultural lecturer Andy Lambie to discover some amazing things about plants and array of garden advice from how to tackle weeds, choosing plants, through to composting and pruning.  You will also uncover some gardening secrets and explode a few myths!

Lunch is provided along with refreshments (morning only).

This is the first of two one day courses offer practical gardening and design advice in a new Horticulture & Botany Series delivered by Ness Botanic Gardens staff at the University of Liverpool's main campus. In addition, there are four evening lectures. Details can be found here.

18+. There are no formal entry requirements, just a love of plants & gardening
