The Re-birth of a Monastery Garden

Sunday 12 February 2017 14:30 - Sunday 12 February 2017 16:00

Discover the fascinating and beautiful Parc du Thabor which were the gardens of the Benedictine monastery at Rennes, Brittany, until the French Revolution.

Situated on the highest hill in Rennes, they were converted into a public park and botanic garden in 1867. The garden has several striking features of its design not seen in English gardens including circular walkways and an area known as Hell (L'Enfer)!
