Wild Mushroom Day
02 October 2016 09:30 - 02 October 2016 16:30
The grounds of Ness are rich with mature trees,
grassland and managed floral beds - a surprisingly rich habitat for
finding fungi - so expect to find a wide array of poisonous,
edible, and even incredible medicinal mushrooms.
The course will be introduced with some helpful theory and key
pointers for aiding correct identification of mushrooms, before we
head out for some serious foraging.
There will be more of the same after lunch before we finally
head back to class to assess our finds and enjoy the delights of
freshly harvested wild mushrooms cooked in a variety of ways.
This is a one day course on Sunday 2 October
There are no formal entry requirements; all you need is an
interest in mushrooms and eating them! Some of the session will be
