Wirral Potters Exhibition

The exhibition was on display in the Visitors Centre on Wednesday 26th April - 8th May 10-5pm daily

Wirral Potters was founded in 1973 by a group of enthusiastic local potters, eager to exchange ideas, develop their craft and hold annual exhibitions of their work. The first exhibition was held in a disused waiting room of Hoylake Station.

The popular annual exhibtion features work from the group's twenty members, showing a range of work from modelled figurative groups and stylistic bird sculptures to functional thrown ware and other colourful, decorative pieces.

Each member is a productive potter, all have received full or part-time Art School training. Some are teachers of the craft and others are full time potters or enthusiastic amateurs working from kitchen, garage or studio workshop.

Many items will be for sale making ideal bespoke items and individual gifts.
